A Summary Explanation of Symbol No. 35 - The Cosmic Cycle of the Pole Principle

The symbol symbolises how the transformation of the living being’s sexual poles creates an interplay between light and darkness. Male beings and female beings do not therefore continue being male and female for all eternity. At core every being is double-poled. Through the one-poled epochs the being renews and rebuilds its degenerated cosmic consciousness. After that it lives in its primary state as a double-poled being on the spiritual plane and here experiences its cosmic consciousness. The being subsequently appears once again in a one-poled state in order to renew its consciousness once again, and so on. If it was a masculine being before it was double-poled, it will be a feminine being after it has been double-poled. And if it was a feminine being before it was double-poled, it will be a masculine being after it has been double-poled. The cycle of the living being’s sexual poles thus spans two cosmic spiral cycles.

The main details of the symbol:

  • The staircase at the bottom symbolises the kingdoms of the spiral cycle.
  • The figures at the top symbolise the alternating culmination of darkness and light.
  • Both of the two long horizontal sections have a yellow figure and a green one that symbolise the feminine pole and the masculine pole respectively. These figures show that the poles are in balance in all the kingdoms of the spiral except the animal kingdom.
  • The one-poled state of the beings can be seen in the sections that symbolise the animal kingdom. The animal kingdom is shown for the first time as a horizontal area between two dotted lines that extend from the orange step at the bottom to the culmination of darkness at the top. The next animal kingdom is marked in a corresponding way in the next spiral cycle on the right of the symbol.
    • In the lower of the two horizontal sections in the first animal kingdom on the left we see symbolised the fact that the masculine principle has its sphere of least manifestation here, while the feminine principle dominates. This means that the beings here are females. After this the beings are double-poled throughout the following kingdoms in the spiral cycle up to the next animal kingdom on the right. Here the feminine principle manifests itself at its minimum while the male principle takes the lead. The beings here have thus become males.
    • In the upper of the two horizontal sections we see symbolised the beings that are male beings in the first animal kingdom and that become female beings in the animal kingdom of the next spiral cycle. Thus continues evolution for all eternity.
  • The round figure in the animal kingdom’s section on the left symbolises two living beings that are engaged in the act of copulation or intercourse. The yellow part symbolises a female being, and the green a male being. The two crosses indicate that the beings are in love with one another and are engaged in the act of copulation or intercourse, which is the manifestation of the light of God’s spirit in the domain of darkness.
  • The other round figure with the blue aura, as is shown in the area above the blue step, indicates a completely perfect double-poled being. Here both poles are absolutely equal. Life has become the culmination of light, bliss and joy. The being experiences that touching another being from this plane, however slightly, is a climactic manifestation of universal love that is a joy not only for the beings concerned but also for those around them.
