38.12  As we see, the entire symbol constitutes a formation of steps. The bottom step of this formation symbolises the animal kingdom, which is indicated by the orange-coloured area. The essential condition of life in this kingdom is to a great extent that the beings must kill in order to live, since an extraordinarily great number of the animals need meat or animal products as food or nutrition. We call these animals carnivores or "beasts of prey". And this predatory nutrition still prevails to a very great extent among unfinished human beings. There are many different species of these carnivorous animals. Killing other beings is thus a vital necessity for the majority of these beings in order to acquire their organisms for food.
