36.3  How eternity and infinity are manifested in time- and space-dimensional or created things
Even though created things constitute a period of time, this period of time, as already mentioned, still represents eternity. But even though a second, for example, is expressive of a particular period of time, cosmic analysis shows that this little period of time contains infinity in time, which is the same as eternity. This little second consists of two halves. Each half consists in turn of two halves, which each again consist of two halves and so on for all eternity. What then is this thing we call a "second"? It is a created phenomenon through which eternity can appear to the senses in the form of time. The same is precisely the case with all other existing created things. They too are all without exception phenomena through which infinity can manifest itself in the form of space, any space whatsoever being just as divisible as a second. Thus eternity and infinity become established as fact through the manifestation of created things in the form of time and space.
