The Eternal World Picture, vol. 4
36.2  What is time and space?
Where a thing has a beginning and an end we see that it forms a section of eternity that we express as its "age", which in turn is the same as time. Time is therefore the same as limited eternity. But when a created thing has a beginning and an end, it is also a section of infinity. It is thereby the same as limited infinity. Such limited infinity is the same as what we call space. All created phenomena are thus limited eternity in time and limited infinity in space. And we therefore say of created things that they are subject to the dimensions of time and space.
