36.1  How time and space arise
As we have already learnt, the living being exists eternally. It has never begun and will never cease to exist. Its I and the primary principles of its superconsciousness are eternal, unchanging realities, just as the process of creation and experience produced by these realities is also an eternal, unceasing phenomena. The result of this process of creation is the creation and experience of life itself. Through this eternal process of creation and experience the mental and physical organs and bodies of living beings come into existence. But eternal objects cannot possibly be created by the process of creation mentioned above. No created object can possibly come into existence without being subject to a beginning and an end. And since the matter of which they consist is subject to change, as matter cannot exist without being movement of one sort or another, which in turn is the same as change, a created object cannot retain its form or structure. This will inevitably disintegrate. And the created thing will therefore have an end, just as it had a beginning. It will inevitably cease. But by this means what we call "time" and "space" arises.
