29.5  On the stairs in the symbol there are some strips or runners drawn in various ways. These symbolise the cosmic evolutionary paths of the living beings. The fact that they are marked with figures that are drawn in various ways means merely that the living beings on each path are not precisely the same as the beings on the other paths. The beings of each path have their own particular characteristics. But common to all the beings of the various paths is the fact that they are all without exception "human beings" at various stages, some at finished stages and others at unfinished stages. The fifth path from the right symbolises terrestrial mankind's cosmic evolution or path of life.
      The section between the top and the bottom punctured lines constitutes the animal kingdom. The section between the top punctured line and the second punctured line from the top constitutes that part of the animal kingdom that we know as unfinished terrestrial mankind. The yellow area symbolises the real human kingdom, after which follows the kingdom of wisdom, but this latter kingdom is not symbolised in the symbol. The living beings thus pass through these kingdoms in the spiral cycle by way of the symbolised paths of evolution or paths of life. In addition to terrestrial mankind's cosmic path of life other such cosmic paths of life also occur on Earth. As previously mentioned these include the various species of insects and other species of beings, of which some have already reached as far as living up to certain terrestrial human, mental stages of evolution, forming social conditions that are superior to certain primitive terrestrial human societies. Likewise many species of fish or marine animals that now live in the sea will reach the human stage by way of other cosmic paths than that which terrestrial mankind is on. That these beings in their unfinished physical state have structures and organisms that deviate from the terrestrial human being's structures and organisms is a matter of course, but this difference will gradually be levelled by evolution. And they will all reach exactly the same divine ultimate result, that is to say they will each become a human being in God's image after his likeness. And then this finished human being, through its ability to materialise, will be able to decide for itself its outer organism and appearance. Everyone here knows everyone else, everyone here understands everyone else, and everyone here loves everyone else since we are all one with God.
