27.5  At the bottom of the symbol we see a grey area. The top of this figure takes the form of steps that extend from the left upwards to the right. These steps symbolise that the Earth, like all other living beings, is at a stage of evolution in the cosmic spiral cycle. Step no. 1 is the plant kingdom. No. 2 is the animal kingdom, to which the unfinished terrestrial human being belongs. No. 3 is the real human kingdom. No. 4 is the kingdom of wisdom. No. 5 constitutes the divine world. No. 6 constitutes the kingdom of bliss. We see in the symbol that the Earth is directly above step no. 2 on its evolutionary path in its spiral cycle, which means above the animal kingdom. It is thus on its way to becoming a human planet and subsequently a purely spiritual planet, just as it previously has been a plant planet and a mineral planet. For us the Earth is of course a macrocosmic living being and is therefore subject to the spiral cycle's promotion of the renewal and maintenance of the living being's eternal ability to experience life.
