33.43  Where the being is surrounded by enemies and is itself hostile towards other beings
Since the human being in the above-mentioned primitive epoch of life still has no particularly developed faculty for neighbourly love, and its life has therefore to be based correspondingly on the above-mentioned principle of self love, "Every man for himself", its epoch of life can only be very warlike in nature. When the principle of life here is based on "Every man for himself", considering the feeling of beings other than oneself could not be regarded as moral. Here inconsiderateness, unkindness and persecution become a matter of course in a great number of cases, just as they are among animals. Here beings find themselves in an apparently unloving world, against which they must fight in order to maintain their own existence, their relationship to their mate and the protection of their offspring. The beings thus live among enemies and are themselves hostile towards other beings. The beasts of prey are created in such a way that they have to live on meat. It is therefore a vital necessity for these beings to pursue the organisms of other animals in order to satisfy their hunger with them. These deadly animals are therefore equipped with physical organisms that were ingeniously formed in favour of their killing nature, some with very superior power and strength, huge sharp teeth and claws, others with inbuilt poisonous organs with which they can kill by poisoning, to mention but a few of the many other methods that occur in favour of the animal's ability to attack and defend.
