22.1  The finished human being in God's image after his likeness
It is not difficult to see that a being with such a living cosmic day-consciousness as that revealed by Christ through his knowledge and way of being is a finished human being in God's image after his likeness. He was one with God, one with the way, the truth and the life. And on the cross, in the midst of his sufferings he showed that he could love his enemies. He prayed that God would forgive the sins of those who crucified him. He could not find it in his heart to have them punished. He saw that, in the absolute sense, they did not know what they were doing. But how can a being be so far ahead of the terrestrial human in evolution? It is possible because the earth is not the only planet in the universe where God creates human beings in his image after his likeness. On some of these other planets in the universe people are not as far advanced in evolution as the people of the earth, while there are other planets where people are on the same step, and yet other planets where people are much further advanced in evolution than terrestrial humans, just as there are, of course, planets whose populations have long since become totally perfect, having become human beings in God's image after his likeness. Is it not precisely a kingdom consisting of such finished or totally perfect human beings in God's image that constitutes the kingdom of heaven? And was it not to such a kingdom Christ referred when he said, "My kingdom is not of this world"? If it were not just such a kingdom with this high cosmic sphere of consciousness, with which Christ was endowed, what kind of kingdom could he then call his kingdom?
