20.9  The reciprocal principle of the law of fate forms the foundation of the being's transformation from "animal" to "human being"
That the above principle of liberation is logical and a blessing, like all the principles of Nature, is here easy to see. The effects of the above-mentioned murderer's action, which would inevitably have been manifested as the murder of its originator if this originator had not been changed in the meantime, are designed to let the murderer realise that one should not murder or kill, and that one reaps what one sows. But since the murderer, prior to the return of the arc of fate, had been changed so that he could absolutely no longer murder or kill, there was absolutely no reason whatsoever for him to experience the effects of this dark action of his. The sufferings or misfortunes do not exist for their own sake. Their sole purpose is to develop the beings away from the evil forms of manifestation. But in a situation where the being can no longer make mistakes or do evil, it is protected against the effects of the dark actions it has carried out, which inevitably would otherwise have been its fate if the being had not, before the return of these effects, been changed. So this reciprocation of the being's conduct towards its neighbour, this law of fate, is the foundation of the being's transformation from "animal" to "human being".
