God's guiding hand in this darkness or people's unfinished state is the divine light of world redemption, which, in conjunction with the effects of the beings' dark karma, gradually guides people towards greater and greater humaneness or neighbourly love. This love is, of course, the absolutely only thing that can form the foundation of real peace.
