The Eternal World Picture, vol. 1
7.2  Just as the living being's organism cannot exist without an I, so the outer world cannot exist without an I or "Something that is" either
Just as the I's structure of experience and manifestation could not exist without an I, so the outer world cannot exist without this same divine "Something", which constitutes the I in all living beings. The living being's experience of life, manifestation and the outer world with its living beings, matter or substance, are thus unshakeably vital necessities for one another. Just as the invisible I manifests itself through its organisms or bodies, so we also see that the outer world manifests itself through organs or bodies, structures, etc. But when the outer world thus reveals logical manifestation or creation, it here becomes clear that behind this creation there must exist desire, wish, intellect and will, and so a living "Something that is" behind the outer world.
