The Eternal World Picture, vol. 1
11.2  The only existing "fixed point" in the universe
This eternal "Something" is thus evident as the I behind the gigantic organism that we call the "universe". Since it is indivisible it also appears as the "Something" that constitutes the I's in all existing living beings. When this nameless indivisible "Something" constitutes the I behind the infinite universe and the I's in the living beings, it does so by virtue of an eternal, unshakable principle that causes "Something" to appear to be split in such a way that it still exists as a unit. None of these splits are liberated from this unit, but continue to be at one with it. Without this principle, which thus in a way turns the "one" into the "many", as we shall see later, manifestation and creation could not possibly take place. The structure and life of the universe is maintained solely by this one great I and the myriads of other living beings' I's that are contained within the universe. This one great I and the many small I's thus constitute, as stated above, the same nameless "Something that is". Since this "Something" or "X1" constitutes absolutely complete immovability or stillness, it here becomes evident that it is the corresponding sole absolute "fixed point" in the universe.
