By means of Symbol no. 12 we will provide a brief overview of the principle of light and darkness in the spiral, and show how it is the absolutely leading principle in all the six kingdoms of the spiral cycle, not as a form of persecution or preferential treatment on the part of Providence, but as an absolutely neutral phenomenon through which the foundation can be laid or the possibility engendered for the manifestation of the creation of cause and effect. This also provides the possibility for the creation of the being's absolutely free will, through which it emerges in "God's image" as a master of "life" and "death", and as the absolute creator or originator of its own fate.
