Real "peace" cannot be dictated
1524. The problem of creating world peace can, indeed, never be solved through the dictatorship of a superpower. Peace cannot be dictated. It is true that "order and discipline" can be dictated but an "order and discipline" that is dictated, and is maintained only by means of force is not peace but "uniformalisation". The citizens are like a troop of soldiers lined up in ranks that are commanded to "stand to attention" with "eyes front". It is certainly a kind of "order and discipline", but it is dictated not by the beings themselves but by an arbitrary being that they obey only because they are forced to. It is in fact the kind of "order and discipline" that all nations and peoples of the past have been subject to. And it is the same "order and discipline" that is in turn coercing the people, as long as they are not trying to oppose the access of selfishness to power. The nations or peoples of the present day can as little as those of the future allow themselves to be reduced to "uniformity" by a brutal and unsympathetic superior force incarnated in a dictator, quite apart from the fact that no truly cultivated and humane human being of today would set out to become a dictator.
