The lot of the victor of a modern war
1522. What is actually the lot of the "victor" of this battle? What does he gain? The "victor" must surely be the one of the two parties that is least mutilated? But if he is the least mutilated, he must look after those who are more mutilated, that is, his beaten opponents. The inevitable lot of the "victor" of every war involving present-day, modern "secret weapons" is therefore, while being an invalid himself, to support and sustain his beaten opponent, who is even more disabled, in the piles of rubble that were once the necessities of life that they had thought to gain by means of the war.
