Livets Bog, vol. 1
The cosmic lines. The "Divine Creative Principle" and the "Divine Something" expressed on the symbol
287. On symbol No. 8 we note that over the steps on "Life's Road" there are some different kinds of "stair-carpet". These carpets represent the appearance of living beings in the form of species or, as just described, cosmic lines of evolution. The fifth from the right of these lines shows the "mammal-line", to which terrestrial mankind belongs. The fourth and the sixth lines from the same side are respectively the "insect-line" and the "bird-line". Aided by the colours we can see the different kingdoms: the plant kingdom, animal kingdom, real human kingdom and a little of the kingdom of wisdom. Below the lowest dotted line we have the plant kingdom (red) and next the animal kingdom (orange). We see that on the symbol there is a dotted line shown in the middle of the animal kingdom. From the plant kingdom and up to this line we have the steps on which are found the creatures we usually describe as "animals", and on the steps between that line and the topmost line are the living beings who in Livets Bog come under the term "terrestrial people". Above this zone we have the real human kingdom (yellow) and so on continuously. Over the whole of the stairway there lies a kind of violet and white mist. This mist illustrates the two eternally inseparable realities bound to the energies - the Mother energy, which is the basis of the Divine Creative Principle, and the supreme element of existence, the Divine Something. In the symbol these two realities are expressed respectively by the violet and the white part of the mist.
