The "Divine Something" and the basic energies expressed in the symbol. The Godhead as a sun in relation to the basic energies which eternally connects living beings with life
265. On the right of the symbol we see part of an extensive figure. This star or sun-shaped figure expresses the universe or the Godhead. In the upper corner to the right we see a triangle. The shows, as mentioned before, that the universe is a living being. Around it we see a white area which stands for the "Divine Something". We see that the basic energies proceed from that "Something". We recognize them by their colours. We see first a kind of radiation in a violet colour. This is the Mother energy or the Divine Creative Principle. Emanating outwards from the latter we see again the other energies, each with its own particular zone of colour. We note further that these energies repeat themselves again and again, always in the order which has already been described. From the rays which emanate from the living beings on the stairway and which as shown, express all their talents of sensing, we see how their experience of the universe or the Godhead stands, regarding extent, in quite a special correlation to each specific basic energy. For example, we see that the living beings whose talents of sensing are supported by instinct energy (red) can control fundamentally only the corresponding zone in the universe. On the other hand, if we look at feeling energy (yellow) we see that the talents of sensing supported by this energy not only encircle the corresponding zone in the universe but also include the two underlying zones - the animal kingdom and the plant kingdom. Thus the sensing or experience of existence is supported differently by the various basic energies and becomes more and more expanded and complete according to how high the beings find themselves on the stairway.
We should mention that the realities which are symbolised by the stairway, rays and small triangles outside the star or sun-shaped figure in actuality exist within it. But to be able to illustrate their relation to the universe it has been necessary to give them expression outside the figure.
In its basic analysis the universe or the eternal Godhead could, regarding the basic energies, by likened to a radiating sun whose pronounced symphony of colour binds living beings eternally to that reality we call "life".
