264. As every form of sensing is conditioned by the form of the basic energies, the latter therefore constitute a fundamental determining factor in all sensing. Sensing can take place only on the basis of the sense-talent's adjustment and adaptation to the universe which itself, in its cosmic analysis, constitutes an all-embracing living being which is the same as the "eternal Godhead"; so this sensing is identical with the "experience of the Godhead". But again, since sensing can exist only as synonymous with movement or energy and energy is synonymous with the basic energies, that very experience will constitute the highest analysis or eternal value of the basic energies.
