259. The fifth step symbolises that basic energy in life which lies behind everything which comes under the concept of "intuition" and is therefore termed "intuition energy". As this energy permeates all the other energies and as everything in existence is actually composed of those energies, intuition energy does not encounter any hindrance to its penetrating power. Thus, in its cosmic nature, it may be likened to a type of ray which passes straight through everything without exception. When the individual has come so far as to develop sense-organs by which he can sense with the help of this ray or energy, then he will look through all mysteries quite unimpeded. Apart from beholding the Godhead and eternal realities and universal laws which rapidly become for him realistic personal participation, he will have the ability furthermore to observe gradually unfamiliar zones of the universe, global systems and forms of existence, as fundamental details of his daily life experience; at the same time, on account of this his highest knowledge, he will himself emerge as constituting a fundamental factor in the creation of ideas for new world cultures, new lines of development and new creative methods. Such a power of sensing appears in Livets Bog under the term "cosmic consciousness". With a consciousness of this kind the human being sees existence in its highest manifestation and his understanding becomes divine in that he can express it only through the idea: "Everything is very good". But to see existence in this way is the same as to see it from the "Godhead's own viewpoint". Thus to experience existence with cosmic consciousness will be the same as to live directly with the Godhead. And as this constitutes the fundamental factor of consciousness in that zone or kingdom where intuition energy culminates, it is called the "divine world".
