256. That basic energy which is symbolised by the next step has a slightly stronger faculty of vibration than the previous one. It is at the root of everything of a physical nature and will be expressed as "gravity energy". This energy has the ability to penetrate instinct energy. Because its deepest nature, where it is streaming through the living being's brain, shows itself as identical with the thoughts or formations of consciousness which we call "evil", leading to the principle of "killing" which constitutes the fundamental condition of life in the zone of existence we know under the term the "animal kingdom", so gravity becomes the strongest factor of life or faculty of consciousness in the animal kingdom, that kingdom from which mankind is not yet free.
