The Basic Energies of the Universe
Chapter 7
The Basic Energies and the Planes of Existence
Everything is energy. Every experience is identical with a divine blessing
253. Everything with which we come in contact, everything we are able to sense whether it be sound, colour or light, in short everything which together constitutes our experience of life in its basic analysis emerges as identical with "energy" or "movement". When we experience the sight of liquid, solid or gaseous substances, when we experience the sight of beautiful landscapes with golden clouds, blue skies, seas and continents, when we look at magnificent buildings, architecture and pictorial art or when we observe the many different bodily structures of living beings, it really means the same as experiencing a great quantity of different types of movement or vibration appearing in mutual combinations or compositions to which our sense-organs react. And this reaction is synonymous with any reality whatsoever which can appear as constituting an "experience" for the living being. And so in its cosmic analysis an experience could never exist without being the same as a combination of energies which, on account of a special method of combining, creates a corresponding special reaction in the living being's sense-organs, whereby that experience becomes imprinted accordingly with certain characteristics different from other experiences. And the experience of life receives thereby the detail and the colouring which condition the fact that it could never exist in any way whatsoever without, in its highest basic analysis, being an expression for a "divine blessing" for the living being.
