Living beings as identical with "fixed points" behind movement
240. In time and space no absolute reality is to be found, no absolute "fixed point", no eternal realities. Everything is movements, everything is transformation, everything is creation and thereby manifestation. But what, then, are the "fixed points" of existence? They are those factors which create and experience the manifestations; the factors which experience the movements. These factors cannot be the same as movement, for a movement cannot experience a movement. But not being movement means that they are not in the world or zone of movements; so they are outside time and space. As time and space are created realities, the factors mentioned above will be superior to time and space, for in this case they are themselves the originators of time and space. As pointed out, a movement cannot experience movement, therefore it is something "lifeless". But as those factors mentioned above do experience movement, they must be said to be "living". But "living" things in the world are just the same as "living beings". Therefore, the living beings in existence constitute the "fixed points" behind the movements.
