Chapter 13
Human beings are still crude beings in the manifestation of the divine world plan
It is thus the beings' perception of life their mental compass that is wrong. Everywhere one feels persecuted, feels "punished" by fate, no matter whether it shows itself as a direct persecution by one's fellow beings or it shows itself as illness, sorrow or poverty, indeed, no matter the nature of the suffering, it will, from a cosmic point of view, be an absolutely natural manifestation of cause and effect, which in turn is a link in the perfection of the great process of creation during which the Earth is transformed from its state of fire to its present state where animal life can live there, and through which it will be guided towards such a finished stage that current sufferings will be a thing of the past. When the beings do not have the correct attitude to, and correct perception of, the life of which they are a part, they cannot steer their rudder that is their will correctly. Their way of acting is thus wrong. They thereby manifest causes that create quite different effects than the ones they had expected. As these wrong effects show themselves as disharmony, as suffering and pain, as sorrow and unhappiness, everything that belongs under disharmony or suffering will thus be exclusively the results of wrong actions. But as wrong action again can exist solely as a manifestation of wrong will, and this in turn can be identical to only a wrong perception of existence or life itself whether it be a perception of Nature or its neighbour, then the unhappy fate, sufferings and pains can thus be exclusively an expression for something unfinished in the great process of creation. This is further revealed through the fact that in all situations where the will, and thereby the action, has been manifested in the right way, which means to the advantage of a natural well-being for its originator's surroundings, there harmony, and thus peace, has finally become the natural and inevitable effect. Here equilibrium arises between the energies, the beings thought forms and their mental attitude; here their unhappy fates vanish like dew in the sun, and absolute well-being beings to emerge in their fates, which one already could see as the intention of the world plan. Otherwise the Earth would not be as abundantly equipped with prerequisites and opportunities for the creation of a harmonious or happy state as we see it is through the quantity of vital products relative to the number of beings in its realms. An abundance of opportunities and prerequisites for the creation of well-being is thus not lacking. Human beings just have to seize them and utilise them. But they have shown themselves to be incapable of doing so. They starve and freeze to death in the middle of a paradise full of food, sunshine and warmth. They murder, kill and mutilate each other because they each believe that it is their neighbour that is the "evil" cause of their fate. And nothing can be more wrong. It is not their fellow being that is to be mutilated, wiped out or annihilated, but the resources of the Earth that have to be developed, administered and utilised. Without this understanding of life, one cannot possibly be in harmony with the intention that lies behind the transformation of the Earth from explosive, melting and boiling materials of fire to a world with such abundant opportunities for the experience of well-being through flesh and blood as the one that the Earth represents. Why else do all the abundant possibilities and resources of life exist? Have we not here been shown the road or the direction for our spiritual or cosmic course? Is it not here seen clearly that he who hates and persecutes his neighbour or in other ways destroys his possibilities for happiness in life works contrary to the creative plan, according to which the transformation of the Earth takes place. The Earth is transformed from an explosive mass to a planet with such superior conditions for the well-being of people that are alive today that there is even the possibility for the well-being of myriads of as-yet unborn future generations. Does one believe that this abundance of opportunities for life is created in order to make some individuals succumb to illness, mutilation or death because of a lack of access to these opportunities for life or resources, and to make others succumb in gluttony, extravagance and depression on account of too easy access to these assets of life? Is it not easy to see that these calamities are due not to any fault in the world plan? It has created good enough resources. The calamities are due solely to the human beings themselves. They are a product of their own perception, will and action. When their perception, will and action result in such consequences, it shows that these beings' mentality is not at all developed. The Earth is so far advanced in its creative plan or emergence that it is ready to be able to give human beings a pleasant and splendid residence with provision for a glorious living, complete peace or a one hundred per cent happiness. But the mentality of the terrestrial human beings is still not on the same level as this stage of creation or the process of transformation of this planet. That the mentality of the beings has to be developed so it can match this perfect stage of the planet is established as fact through the growth to which their mentality is at present subjected.
