Symbol 15

A Summary Explanation of Symbol No. 15 - The Law of Movement

The symbol shows that all movement occurs in cycles. Movement occurs in a physical and a spiritual form. The physical form of movement is the removal of an object from one place to another, and the spiritual form is the transformation of the object from one state to another. These two forms of movement demonstrate the law of movement. Even the so-called “straight line” demonstrates this adherence to law. In the absolute sense the straight line does not exist, since it is always a part of a cycle. If the energies were not bound in cycles, there would be no experience of life, no fate, no consciousness and no organisms.

The main details of the symbol:

  • The round white figure symbolises the spherical form that is the fundamental cosmic balance of all movements.
  • The uppermost white line shows the so-called "straight line". But from a cosmic point of view it does not exist, since this line constitutes a part of a circle that is 40 metres in diameter.
  • The other white lines also indicate circles, but here the circles are so small and the curvature so great that it can be seen with physical sight.
  • The square too is in the absolute sense an illusion since all apparently flat surfaces are also curved, even if the curves are so microscopic that they cannot be perceived.
  • The circles drawn with thin lines show that every kind of movement in the entire universe forms a circular path.
