The Martinus Centre of the future

 

In order to support the continued development of the Centre in Klint – with, among other things, the possibility for extended courses and all-year-round courses – it is now possible to support selected building projects.

In this brochure you can read more about the projects and see detailed drawings and artist’s impressions.

  • An upgrade of Restaurant Terrassen with a new extension with more space for the kitchen, a laundry and a storeroom.
  • Two new pavilions – Pav. D and H – with various types of rooms with private or shared facilities.
  • A new educational building – the Round House
  • The Orangery – a recreative space in the garden.

New online library launched!

The Martinus Institute’s new online English library is up and running.

To find it, click on https://www.martinus.dk/en, choose menu Martinus’s work, go to Online library in the drop-down menu.

Here you can read and search Martinus’s books in English, scroll down to read his articles and delve into historical material, which includes back issues of the magazine Kosmos from 1978 onwards, Newsletters from the 1970s, Contact Letters and so-called Sample Letters from 1959–65. All in all, there is a wealth of material to explore.

A new publication in Danish

 

On Saturday 13th April from 13.00-16.00 hours, the Martinus Institute welcomes you to a book reception on the occasion of the publication a new book in Danish in which Martinus answers questions from his readers and members of the audiences that attended his lectures.

The book is entitled Martinus svarer på spørgsmål (Martinus answers questions).

It contains 248 of Martinus’s answers to a great variety of questions, for example, why we need glasses, questions about food and diet, why we get various illnesses, what are flying saucers, contact with spiritual beings, prayer, cosmic glimpses and much more.

There will be presentations about the book, a tour of Martinus’s flat, which is now a museum, musical entertainment and various delicacies.

Easter Voluntary Work Week at the Martinus Centre

 

Would you like to lend the Martinus Centre a hand with practical tasks? If so, you are cordially welcome to sign up for all or part of the Easter Week, which is 23rd-30th March. We welcome volunteers who can help us with a wide range of tasks, including gardening, cooking, painting, repair work and much more.

In addition to practical work, the programme includes lectures in Danish and delicious plant-based meals.

It costs 150 DKK per day to take part (+ 20 DKK if you stay in Pav. A or C). The sum covers overnight accommodation, lectures, brunch, coffee/tea, cake and dinner.

Changes in the composition of the Council

In January, Willy Kuijper stepped down as both a member and as chairman of the council of the Martinus Institute. The new chairman is Kenneth Ibsen.

Willy has had a long and eventful journey since 1980, when, at Martinus’s request, he joined the Institute’s board or council. Read more in the Danish edition of Kosmos no. 1, in which he recounts his experiences. Fortunately, Willy will not disappear completely, since he will continue in an advisory capacity. In this way the council can continue to benefit from the extensive experience his long journey has given him.

In his stead Arendse Plesner becomes a full member of the council; at the same time we welcome Thomas Størup as a new substitute member.

A Plant-Based Diet from a Spiritual Perspective

Pernilla Rosell interviews Mary McGovern about a spiritual perspective on current research into plant-based food on the Martinus Institute’s YouTube channel. You can view the video here.

More and more people today embrace a diet based on plant-based food. This is a diet that focuses primarily on products from plants, for example fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, root vegetables and beans. Current research shows that vegetarian and vegan diets protect against, for example, coronary heart diseases. With his book The Ideal Food, Martinus, as early as 1933, provided us with a spiritual insight into the importance of diet for our physical and mental health. He also expands our sphere of responsibility to include not only love for human beings but also for animals, plants, minerals and the microbeings in our body.
